Worship
Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (NAU)
Worship is at the heart of what we do and who we are and it extends beyond the pew and the building out into our everyday lives. Worship is simply "giving what is worthy to who is worthy." We believe God and our Lord Jesus Christ are worthy of all the glory and we strive to "love the Lord, our God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind," and we understand that the love of the Lord is directly tied to how we "love your neighbor as yourself." When we gather together on Sundays or Wednesdays to worship, it is a special time where we collectively offer our hearts in "spirit and in truth." But it is not an isolated event, rather it is a reflection of our lives. God is worthy of the time we take to gather together to worship him. He is also worthy of the rest of the time and if we live all of our lives submitting to the will of our Father, then everything we do becomes worship.
Join us for our worship services. It is worth it. It isn't perfect but it is us opening ourselves up to the presence of God's spirit so that we can be changed and then live worshipful lives, growing in our service to our king.
